Kamiyama Island

Dive Reservation

Kamiyama IslandKamiyama Island is the main island of the Chiibishi Island group. Only a 30 min boat ride away, this uninhabited island has much to offer in the way of diving.

The most popular dive site on island is Labyrinth. This site is very widespread, with many different features to it.  It is very easy to do 2 or even 3 dives at Labyrinth and see totally different underwater landscapes on each dive. It is also very easy to lose your way, hence the name.  Please don't get mad at your guide if he/she has to pop up and find the boat on the way back - it happens to the best of us.

Dives at Kamiyama Island usually stay shallower than 20 meters/70 feet. Some main features are the many different rock formations, white sand rivers, finger reefs, swim thru's, and good visibility. There are usually a few small white tip reef sharks sleeping under the rocks.

Here is an underwater map of Kamiyama Island. You can get a basic idea of the lay out and what types of fish are common.
